The Great Global Nurdle Hunt 2023 is underway! From the 1st – 31st October Nurdle Hunters across the world will be taking part in the world’s biggest nurdle hunt and you can join in too!

What is a nurdle?

Nurdles are tiny plastic pellets, about the size of a lentil, that are used to make practically all plastic products. However each year trillions of nurdles spill into the environment along the global plastic pellet supply chain. Once in the environment nurdles are almost impossible to remove. Nurdles can have devastating impacts on the environment, wildlife and communities. But nurdle pollution is preventable!

Why do a nurdle hunt?

By taking part in a nurdle hunt you help gather evidence of nurdle pollution across the world. This evidence can be used to show government and policy makers the scale of nurdle pollution, that current measures to prevent it are not working and people want action to end nurdle pollution. We are calling for national and regional legislation which mandates measures to stop nurdle loss across the plastics supply chain.
