If you're new to the hunt, The Great Global Nurdle Hunt is our annual event, which asks organisations and individuals to organise nurdle hunts at the same time all around the world to draw attention to this issue and collect a snapshot of data on global plastic pellet pollution.
Focusing on Big Spills
This year we will be theming the Great Global Nurdle Hunt on big spill events. We want to showcase how these big nurdle spill events, like the X-press Pearl disaster have impacted regions around the world and give communities and organisations a chance to use this platform to shout for solutions. We are hoping the event and results this year can support the countries who have submitted proposals to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to have pellets reclassified as dangerous goods and the wider work on global pellet solutions.
