Fidra has been speaking to companies around the Firth of Forth to raise awareness of Operation Clean Sweep, encourage sign up and identify solutions to potential problems. We are now keen to expand our engagement to other areas of Scotland and the UK.
Fidra’s approach
We take a constructive, solutions-based approach to plastic pellet loss. To help us to do this, we greatly value open discussion and feedback from industry. In particular, we would like to understand companies’ perception of OCS, any potential barriers for those wishing to engage with the scheme and how these could be overcome. Understanding this will help us better engage with the wider industry.
We also work with member bodies/trade associations to raise awareness and engage with government on how they foresee the uptake of OCS being enhanced.
