New Case Study Interviews

op clean sweep USOCS Case Studies

Over the last 3 years we have been working hard to promote the Operation Clean Sweep scheme to companies in the local area. This is a voluntary commitment allowing companies to pledge to aim for zero pellet loss from their facilities.

We have had the pleasure of working with a number of companies who have been highly committed to the scheme, and proactive about making improvements, despite the high standards of house-keeping already present in their facilities. Some of these companies are visible as OCS champs on our website.

Over the summer I have been visiting these facilities again, ~6 months after sign-up, to get more feedback about their experience of the OCS scheme. It's been great to find out a bit more about these companies and the different methods they have used to reduce pellet loss. Our Case Studies page now includes links to download a couple of these new interviews, and there are more coming soon.

Overwhelmingly companies are happy to recommend the scheme, suggesting, for example:

1) It doesn't take much time, effort, or money to put the scheme in place.
2) There are always small improvements that can be made, and the OCS guidelines are a good way to find remaining high risk areas.
3) OCS uptake has been a good way to reinforce good housekeeping standards in facilities.

We are using this information to pass on to other companies handling pellets, in the hope that it will encourage more to sign up.
